Recreational Garden

Client: Holon Municipality

This recreational park was inspired by a children’s book, “The absent-Minded Guy from Kfar Azar” by Leah Goldberg, which depicts a protagonist who lived in an imaginary, topsy-turvy, world and challenges our perception of logic, time and language. In keeping with this theme the pavement becomes grass – and the grass pavement, the signs “Keep off the Pavement!!!” greet on comers. The objects are based on the archetypal park bench as a central motif, and are transformed and mixed to create new entities such as “bench-slide”, “lamp-bench” .
