The Crystal is a soda machine which enables the user to prepare and serve sparkling drinks in an elegant glass carafe, thus adding value to the carbonated beverage. The use of glass required a proprietary protection mechanism for rare cases in which the glass bottle fails. In contrast to somewhat plastic and generic "Catalogue-order" feel of previous soda machines, the aim was to create an iconic and updated design of a genuine Kitchen Appliance, while addressing the complex ergonomic and engineering challenges. The Crystal's look is part of the Soda Club design language which was previously developed by I2D, while the vertical division of the product enables for color versatility.
