Tokyo Designers Block, Japan 2004
Barefoot in Tokyo.
40 pairs of shoes exhibited in the framework of the Tokyo designers block.
The exhibition offered a rainbow of aspirations, eccentric designs, as well as experimentation with colors, materials and expressions.
Each pair of shoes alluded to an imaginary individual who might wear them.
The organizer's words:' The shoe responds to the individual's features: bone structure, weight, way of walking, balance, general built, wear and tear.
In addition, some people view their choice of shoe as a symbol of their aspirations and the way they want to be perceived, giving rise to couture level shoes.'
